I'm less mad today, even though I now know that my insurance company wants me to come up with $1000 before they'll fix my car. Instead, today has been filled with reminiscences, bittersweetness, and the realization that I am very, very lucky to have so many tomorrows ahead of me.
Hard to believe it was three years ago today that I wrote this, about my breakup with T. So many things have happened since then, so many things I never could have predicted. I know I say this a lot lately (like that's a bad thing?), but this is such a freaking beautiful life I'm living. Sure, it has its challenges and difficult moments, but the most important thing is that every inch of it fits me. For someone like me who didn't know anything about myself a few short years ago, that is pretty fantastic.
Anyway, happy valentine's day. Here's to many more beautiful years.
